Ok so i just experienced my first Flotilla today, and I think we should do more of those than SMH's because F's don't require a badge so everyone could do it. What are your guys opinion.

I agree, Flotilla's are much easier to set up and don't require badges. They also help defend islands from attacks from Brigand Kings (So if we got Doyle our defeating Flotilla's near Doyle would prevent a Brigand King blockade).
